New Free Magazine Gets Underway!

The Battle Axe Magazine is a new FREE (yes, that's right - FREE!) innovative monthly Magazine being set up by local businessmen in association with the Ufosa Foundation (helping the underprivileged in South Africa).

With a first print run of 40,000 copies and a distribution area of Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Rye, Battle and up to Tunbridge Wells (and everywhere in between!) the Magazine - printed A4 on high quality gloss art paper - is aiming to become an important advertising medium for both local and national firms and businesses of all sizes.

The Battle Axe Magazine will have a celebrity interview featured on its front cover, and articles on a variety of topics, from General Interest, Travel, Property, Computers, Flying, What's On, Political Satire, Music, Getting Married and Pets - and that's just for the first issue!

December's copy has one of the most famous faces in the Country on its front cover - SIR PATRICK MOORE, TV celebrity and the UK's leading stargazer. Patrick has presented his television series The sky At Night every month uninterrupted for over 50 years and has met many extraordinary people.

In an exclusive interview, Sir Patrick tells TBA of the first time he met Orville Wright - the first man to fly. Patrick has never detailed of this meeting before, and it's a first scoop for TBA! We're proud to have it.

With such a prominent public figure on the front cover and with pages packed with information and interesting reading, the Magazine is expecting a large readership from the start.

Publisher Robert Vallier says, "The price of magazines has rocketed over recent years. People want to have a good read but don't like the £3 or £4 price tag. Well, we've axed the price of our Magazine so much it's FREE!"

Advertising prices are set very competitively, and the entry level is an 1/8th of a page, priced at only £85. The popular 1/4 page is £185. and why not include some editorial text too?! Closing date for accepting advertisements in the first Issue is due in early December.
